Why Merit?

Merit is my name - well, my nickname. I was named Meredith, but the people who know me best have always called me Merit. It’s personal. It’s meaningful. And it’s the foundation of everything I create.

Because Merit is more than a name.
It means worth. Value. Purpose.

I believe that every person has incredible value and so does the work they are called to do. Especially the work that serves others, builds community, and creates change.

That belief is what shaped Merit Made Creative.

Design with Purpose

I’m a creative problem solver with over 25 years of experience in design, strategy, and creative direction. But more than that, I’m someone who cares deeply about why the work exists in the first place.

From supporting first-generation college students to creating enthusiasm for organizations that serve youth in foster care, my work has always been rooted in creative compassion. I partner with organizations and individuals who are doing meaningful, often challenging work. I help bring their stories to life through thoughtful, intentional design.

Because when your message is clear, compelling, and authentic, it doesn’t just look good, it creates change.

Work That Matters

The right design can do more than communicate, it connects. It can build trust, inspire action, and create the kind of support your work deserves.

That’s what we create together:
Brands and visuals that feel true to who you are
Stories that resonate with the people you serve
Creative that reflects the value of your work in the world

our clients

We are proud to partner with organizations that educate, advocate, preserve, inspire, and serve. Their missions fuel our creativity and remind us why this work matters.
